A graveside service for Rex Vincent Anthony Fuller, 82, an area resident for the past 12 years, will be at 9 a.m. today at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mr. Fuller died Nov. 16, 2003, at his home in Topaz Ranch Estates. He was born July 2, 1921, in Des Moines, to Theodore Anthony and Ethel "Kay" Broad. Theodore Broad died when Rex as 6 years old, and Willard O. Fuller adopted him when he was 12.
He graduated from East High School and Drake University in Des Moines.
Before moving here, he lived in Hemet, Calif.; Chicago; Westport, Conn.; and Des Moines.
Mr. Fuller worked in printing and publishing for 45 years and enjoyed 17 years of retirement. He was a member of many clubs, including Elks and Lions; had a golf membership; and belonged to an RV traveling club. He was a Protestant.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and spent 20 years in the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his son Tony in 1954.
Among his survivors are his wife, Jo of Topaz Ranch Estates; daughter and son in-law Christine and Robert Montgomery of Florida; daughter Lisa Sutton and son Ray Carignan, both of Washington; brother, Duane A. Fuller of Arizona; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
