Carl E. Wilson Sr., 75, a Carson City resident, died Nov. 22, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Reno.

No services are scheduled.

Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Henderson, Ky., to Matt Wilson and Hattie Aikens.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Cherrie Wilson in July 2002; and daughter Patricia Wilson, who died at age 10.

Prior to living in Carson City, Mr. Wilson traveled extensively throughout the United States before making his home in Northern Nevada.

Mr. Wilson was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years.

He enjoyed his children, watchmaking, stamp collecting and billiards. He was a sports enthusiast.

Among his survivors are his son, Carl E. Wilson Jr. of Dayton; daughters Paula Armstrong of Dayton and Tina Fox of Reno; brother, Floyd Wilson of Missouri; and six granddaughters.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
