Gail Teig bested defending champion Janet Petrosky after a two-hole sudden deal playoff to win the 2003 Genoa Lakes Ladies Golf Club championship.
Teig and Petrosky completed the two-round tournament with a gross score of 168. Petrosky had won the club title three straight years and was the 2001 Northern Nevada Women's Golf Association Amateur Senior low gross champion. Teig won the club title in 2000.
Other winners in the event were: First flight -- Darlene Tiffany, first, 182; Margaret Phillips, second, 192. Second flight -- Sandy Cable, first, 195; Geri Wilk, second 200. Third flight -- Martha Barneson, first, 213; Carole Schenck, second, 223.
