That day-hike is sponsored by Sorensen's Resort, which is located on the north end of Hope Valley.
Hope Valley is about 35 miles south of Carson City, via a combination of U.S. 395, Nevada S.R. 88 and California S.R. 88.
It will begin at about 10 a.m. and the hike will cover about 3-4 miles, with a picnic lunch along the way.
The cost of the Llama trek, which includes the lunch, is $45 for guests at Sorensen's, $55 for non-guests and $25 for children.
