The Carson High girls soccer team had no problem scoring in an 18-0 win over Hug on Saturday.

"We were playing well and they're still in the learning curve," Carson coach Randy Roser said. "We did everything we could do to make sure that every goal was a quality goal."

Almost everyone on the Carson roster scored as the Senators stayed in at least a first place tie in the Sierra League, improving to 6-1. Among those who led the effort were freshman Danielle Benamati, who scored three goals.

Goalie Allie Otto also came out and scored two goals. Otto and Courtney Hayes combined on the shutout. The closest Hug came to a shot on goal was a long ball that Otto came out and handled.
