New administrator named for DCFS

Gov. Kenny Guinn has named Jone M. Bosworth administrator of the Division of Child and Family Services.

Bosworth is a former deputy director of the same program in Nebraska and worked as a human services consultant to improve juvenile services systems in Nebraska.

Bosworth is a lawyer who has also been a social work case manager, abuse/neglect investigator and coordinator for battered women's shelters. She has taught in Japan and worked in Mexico, Kenya and Saudi Arabia.

Her predecessor, Ed Cotton, left to become head of child and family services for the state of New Jersey.

The job pays $90,513 a year.
