Marvin E. Brockway, 71, a Carson City resident for the past 45 years, died Sept. 10, 2003, at home. He was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Barard, Kan., to Elmer and Nellie Smith Brockway.
He married Alice Baker on Nov. 20, 1963, in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Seattle.
Mr. Brock enjoyed fishing, building birdhouses and bird feeders, gardening, collecting antiques, barbecues and his family and friends. He was a Catholic. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Among his survivors are his wife and son, Harry, both of Carson City; daughters Carmen Kissinger of Belmont, Calif., Bonnie Johnson of Virginia and JoLynn Maffei of Carson City; sister, Neva Aguilar of Carson City; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nephew Earl McKee of Carson City.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
