Obituary: John T. Schmidt, Jr.

John T. Schmidt Jr., a 20-year resident of Carson City, died Sept. 18, 2003, at his home. He was 41.

Born in Bremerton, Wash., Feb. 28, 1962, to John and Marilyn G. Edwards Schmidt, he worked as a security officer. He came to Carson City from Washington.

Mr. Schmidt enjoyed spending time with his family and was active in the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in various capacities including security.

He is survived by his wife, Starla, of Carson City; father John of Arizona; sons Joe and Joshua of Carson City; daughter Jan of Carson City and brother Mike of Washington.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
