Staff Report
B. Bottenburg of Carson City won the Jesters Jog 10-kilometer run Saturday morning.
The event benefitted the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.
Bottenberg was timed in 40 minutes and 54 seconds for the 6-mile run, edging Dominic Adams by .04 seconds. Carson City's Lorne Malkiewich was third in 41:05, 12-year-old Richard Shroy of Carson City was fourth in 41:39 and Amy Bottenberg, also of Carson City, finished fifth in 42 minutes.
Gary Brooks was sixth in 42:51, followed by Mark Thompson (44:23), Doug Chichowicz (45:00), Jackie Taylor (45:05) and Carson City's Trinidad Lozano. Carson City's Doug Carlton was 11th in 47 minutes and Daniel Fuller, also of Carson City, was 13th in 47:14.
Carson City's Karl Horeis won the 2-mile run in 12:22, well ahead of Cody Vukovich, who was timed in 12:48. Minden's Kara Cole was third in 14:14, followed by Minden's Sara Mangiaracina, who was timed in 14:26. Carson City's Lauren Sosa was fifth in 14:48.
John Lockwood was sixth in 15:02, followed by Carson City residents Chris Kuhn (15:04) and Jay Logue (15:10). Gardnerville's Dale Coulam was ninbth in 15:25 and Trish Livingston rounded out teh top 10 in 15:53.
Carson City's Cy Ryan, 72, won the 2-mile walk in 22:02, barely edging Sherry Forrette, also of Carson City, who also was timed in 22:02. Lynda Henricksen was third in 22:10, followed by Michael Polish (23:13) and Carson City's Brenda Darden (23:39).
Tanner Anderson was sixth in 24:33, Caden Lehman placed seventh in 24:33, Greg Lehman took eighth in 25:05, Cookie Bible was ninth in 25:50 and Sarah Richert was 10th in 25:52.
Lindy Lehman won the kids' 1/4-mile walk. She was followed by Natalie Coulam, Bailee Vickers, Kayleigh Carlson and Bianca Sosa.
