American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) signups have gone high tech. Parents may sign up their children at the Web site below. Walk-in signups will also be done at Carson High School.

Two golf tournaments will help local students. The Eagle Valley Men's Golf Club is hosting its annual golf tournament to help the Carson High golf team. President Marty Ramirez invites players to have fun while supporting up-and-coming pro players. The night before the golf tournament is a no-host cocktail party at the course, at which you can purchase raffle tickets and play Calcutta. If you are interested in the Calcutta, give Josh a call at the Eagle Valley Pro Shop.

The third annual Leahy Tee-It-Up Golf tournament also helps Carson High students. The Patrick & Erin Leahy scholarship is presented every June to a graduate. Scholarship supporter Steven Palazzolo called Lorraine Leahy to say that he cannot make it this year, but wanted to send a check. If you can't make the tournament, but still want to support the scholarship, the information is below.

Soroptimist International is hosting its second annual Comedy Night with complimentary champagne and chocolates. Comedians are Karen Rontowski and Kat Simmons, who has been on "Catch a Rising Star," Fox's comedy tonight and "Candid Camera."

High tea will be served to women wanting to join the Carson City Republican Woman's Club at the Brougher-Bath Mansion.

The Mile High Band will have a wine-tasting event at the Brewery Art center.
