A Carson City man was sent to prison Monday for a March bank robbery.

Paul Pasillas, 46, was sentenced to 30 months to 86 months for the robbery of the First National Bank of Nevada at William and Carson streets March 10.

According to court documents, a half-hour after the self-employed father walked into the bank and brandished what police later discovered was a pellet gun, police found Pasillas sitting at the bar in Barb's Y Not Saloon on Long Street about four blocks from the bank.

Clothing described as worn by the robber was found in the saloon's bathroom. Detectives later pulled wads of stolen cash from Pasillas' pockets and sock.

He pleaded guilty in May.
