Mollie J. Thomas, 69, of Dayton died Aug. 5, 2004, at home. She was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Oklahoma to John Wesley and Lillian Chaney.
She graduated from Wewoka (Okla.) High School in 1952, and received her master's degree from East Central University in Ada, Okla. in 1980.
She married Jack Thomas July 17, 1952, in Wewoka.
She lived in the Carson City and Dayton area since 1988, coming from Oklahoma.
Mrs. Thomas was a psychologist for the state of Nevada Department of Prisons. Prior to moving to Nevada, she was director of a local mental health facility in Wewoka. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wewoka.
Among her survivors are her husband of Dayton; sons Jay of Yukon, Okla., and Mark of Reno; daughter, Kaye Knight of Dayton; brother, A.B. Chaney of Wewoka; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
Private family inurnment will be held in Nevada and Oklahoma.
