Verna L. Burnham, 77, a Gardnerville resident for the past eight months and former Carson City resident, died Aug. 17, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in California, to Roy and Mary Ouilette Ruffner.
Mrs. Burnham retired from Nevada Bell where she worked as a PBX supervisor. She enjoyed animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M., in 1995.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Pat Burnham of Dayton; sons Ed of Gardnerville and Harry L. of Reno; brother Leroy Ruffner of Oregon; sisters Barbara Staricha of Gardnerville and Betty Chapin of Rohnert Park, Calif.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
No service is scheduled.
Walloon's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
