A funeral service for Mary Cain, 91, a Carson City resident for 54 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Cain died Nov. 30, 2004. She was born Nov. 29, 1913, to Josephine and Remo Troiani in McAlester, Okla.
She moved to Virginia City with her family at 12 then to Silver City following her marriage to Clarence L. Cain in 1935.
Mrs. Cain worked as a bookkeeper for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son Capt. Robert L. Cain; brother Deno Troiani; sister Bertha Gerbatz and parents and step-father Felix Romano.
Among her survivors are sister Rene Cain; grandchildren Lt. David Cain, Jolene Cain Kuhn, and Kamala Cain Carmazzi; great-grandchildren Jarrod Cain, Joleesha Carmazzi, Robert Carmazzi and Samantha Kuhn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
