A funeral service for James Francis Lebar, 68, a Minden resident, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Lebar died Dec. 2, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1936, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Jack and Christine Lebar.
He lived in Minden 15 months, coming from San Jose, Calif., where he lived for 37 years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1965, stationed in Korea as a language specialist. He graduated from Wyoming University in 1967 with a degree in electrical engineering.
He had some graduate studies and was a member of Sigma Tau, Omega Chapter.
He married W. June Lebar on April 5, 1975 in San Jose.
Mr. Lebar was a systems engineer for Ford Aerospace and for Lockheed-Martin. He was an Eagle Scout, served as an altar boy for the Catholic Church and received awards for engineering projects and Army Meritorious Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Max Lebar.
Among his survivors are his wife of Minden; former spouse, Kim Lebar, of Mountain View, Calif.; sons Michael J. of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mark D. of Fort Collins, Colo.; grandsons David J. and Jacob R. of Fort Collins; step-sons Tony Lebar and wife and two sons of Santa Clara, Calif., and Michael Rodrigues and wife of Danville, Ky.; step-daughter Janelle Ricksen of Los Angeles; brothers Robert and wife of Los Angeles, Lawrence of Rock Springs, Wyo., Donald and wife of Madison, Wis., and Dennis and wife of Denver, Colo.
Internment will be Dec. 13 in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rock Springs, Wyo.
Memorial contributions may be made to your local heart association or medical research hospital.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
