Amber Alert issued after California man abducts son

The Nevada Highway Patrol is searching for a Hayward, Calif., man in connection with the abduction of his 13-year-old son at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in Hayward.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., suspect Jose Osuna went to the home of his estranged common-law wife, where she lives with her and Osuna's four children. The estranged wife has a valid restraining order to prevent him from contact with her and the children. Osuna abducted the child by coercion then fled by stealing the mother's car.

According to the Amber Alert issued Tuesday evening, Osuna has a history of abusing and stalking the family, and police have two felony warrants for his arrest. He is possibly headed to Boise, Idaho; Phoenix; or Calican or Sinaloa, Mexico. He is driving a tan, four-door, 1991 Toyota Camry with California license plates 3KVW243. The vehicle has a broken or damaged windshield and right-front running light.

Osuna, 38, is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with numerous tattoos including one of the name "Brianda" on his upper-left arm.

His son, Ernesto, is about 4 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 70 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants and an Oakland Raiders jacket and a black knit hat.
