Dixie Lee Esenarro, 64, a Carson City resident, died Dec. 25, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in American Falls, Idaho.
After moving to Las Vegas, she worked for the Bank of Las Vegas. She volunteered for many organizations in Carson City including the American Cancer Society, WNCC, Little League Baseball and Bobby Sox Softball. She enjoyed bowling and the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her father Rex Roper of Pocatello, Idaho; son, Michael of Carson City; sisters Terry Howell, Lois Howard and Dort Knox.
Among her survivors are her husband of 44 years, Augie of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Kim of Carson City; daughter, Deborah Esenarro of Reno; mother, Madelyn Roper of Pocatello, Idaho; sisters Mary Moss and Lola Roper of Pocatello and Susie Brewster of American Falls; brothers Bum Roper of Aberdeen, Idaho and Jim Roper of Pocatello and grandchildren Michael and Joshua Esenarro and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
At her request, no service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Walton's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
