A celebration of life for John Steven Ustal, 52, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Pinon Plaza banquet room.
Mr. Ustal died Jan. 28, 2004, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 12, 1951, in Newark, N.J., to John F. and Helen M. DeBaun Ustal.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Southern Oregon.
Mr. Ustal was a bartender at Carson Station for 12 years. He was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He loved to fish and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed music, singing and entertaining. He was a great cook and loved to joke.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother, Jeffrey.
Among his survivors are his daughters Jennifer Ustal and Ashley Ustal, both of Eagle Point, Ore.; and sisters and brothers in-law Diane and Steve LaClare of Gardnerville and Barbara and John Riordan of Dayton.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
