Alana Williams is still looking for the day when her team puts it all together. She believes though that her team becomes closer with each game.
The Senators came away with an impressive 73-62 win on Saturday at Wooster. Carson improved to 8-2 in the Sierra League going into a huge week to end the regular season when it plays the Sierra League's top two teams, at home against Reno on Tuesday and at Douglas on Friday.
The game wasn't as close as the final score as Carson led 58-36 going into the fourth quarter.
"They're getting real close, I think," Carson coach Alana Wiliams said about her team reaching its potential. "Really, really closer. They're starting to use better teamwork.
"They're starting to play with a lot of intensity. They're defense is picking up. I thought that they played really well. I thought that they played really hard."
Carson shot a phenomenal 16-of-17 from the foul line. Despite taking a hard fall on her chin, Christian led the way by going 10-of-11 from the line on her way to scoring 25 points. "She's got a real big bruise on her chin," Williams said.
Katie Kotter scored 14 points, Andrea Hoff had 12 points and Tabitha Adams added eight points for Carson.
