Lyle W. Severson, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years, died Jan. 1, 2004, at home. He was born April 3, 1923, in Barron County, Wis., to Stanley and Hilma Carlson Severson. He grew up on a farm.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in the San Francisco Bay area.
Mr. Severson worked in retail as a store supervisor. He loved to dance. He and his wife went on many cruises, and he was a member of the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife, Lillian of Carson City; sister, Elaine Erickson of Balsom Lake, Wis.; and brother, Larry of Richfield, Minn.
At his request, no service will be held.
