Bulldogs have a strong tournament

The Carson Bulldog Wrestling Club began the season with a strong performance at the South Reno Tournament on Sunday at Wooster HIgh.

Ten Carson wrestlers won titles while nine took second and four were third. Carson led all teams in first, second and third place finishes. More than 300 wrestlers from Nevada and California competed in the event.

Those who placed first were: Willy McDonald, Bryce Moyle, Kyle Sharp, Nolan Shine, Matthew Tarter, Christian Tercero, Garret Truesdell, Kaleb Wold, Matthew Barrett and Nathan James.

Those who took second were: William Lee, Jordan Luhrs, Brandon Maffei, Ricky McDonald, Brady Okeefe, Max Schadeck, Sam Blei, Pat Craugh and Bryce James.

Those who took third were: Garrett Nicholson, Kye Catlin, Miriam Gutierrez and Brandon James.

Others who placed were: Garrett Manoukian, fourth; Ben McDonald, fifth; Andrew Toland, fifth; Nolan Truesdell, fourth; Eric Wilcoxson, fourth; Michael Wilcoxson, fourth; Austin Brown, fourth; Colby Brown, fourth; Cole Catlin, fourth; Jonah Chalk, fifth; Jorge Alberto Gutierrez, fifth; Jorge Ariel Gutierrez, fifth; Sabian Harting, fifth.
