William A. Dalton, 82, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died Jan. 11, 2004, at Evergreen Care Center. He was born Dec. 20, 1921, in Michigan, to Edward and Agnes Griffin Dalton.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Francisco.

Mr. Dalton was a Catholic.

He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Among his survivors are his nephew and wife, Jim and Cindy Dalton of Carson City; brother-in-law, Al Mathein of Jackson, Mich.; sister-in-law, Ada Dalton of Brooklyn, Mich.; great-nephews Marc, Corey, Steven and Michael Dalton, all of Carson City; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews of Michigan.

A private family service will be at a later date at the Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
