Phillip "Phil" S. Heater, a resident of Dayton for the past five years, died Jan. 11, 2004, at home. He was born July 27, 1912, in Kansas City, Mo., to S.P. and Eunice Kimmell Heater. He was 91.
Services for Mr. Heater were held at the First Congregational Church in Reno on Monday.
He married Irene on April 12, 1936, in Newbery, Calif. Prior to living in Dayton, Mr. Heater lived in Fallon for 46 years. He was a self-employed miner.
Among his survivors are his wife of Dayton; daughters Joan Siri of Dayton and Lorraine Thompson of Reno; son Philip D. of Port Orford, Ore.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Interment was at East Line Cemetery in Bishop, Calif., on Wednesday.

Reno Memorial and Brune and Buck Mortuary of Bishop are in charge of arrangements.
