A funeral for Elliott J. King, 84, a Carson City resident for the past 18 years, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Las Vegas.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern.
Mr. King died Jan. 17, 2004, in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 4, 1919, in Jim Falls, Wis., and raised in Chippewa Falls, Wis.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy .
Mr. King worked at City Drug in downtown Las Vegas, had a long career with the Eli Lilly Co., then was executive director of the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy. He received national recognition for his pharmacy work, including the Bowl of Hygiea Award. He retired from the state of Nevada in December 2003.
He served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base from 1942-45.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen.
Among his survivors are his sons Greg and Joe; daughter Ellisa; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be at Palm Valley View Cemetery.
