A rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, for Robert E. Nadeau who died Jan. 23, 2004, at his Gardnerville residence. He was 88.
The Rev. William Nadeau will preside at a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Nadeau was born March 8, 1915, in St. Paul, Minn., to William and Sarah McCarrick Nadeau. He was the youngest of seven children.
He was a U.S. Navy pilot during World War II, stationed at Kaneohe, Hawaii, during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Nadeau was a retired air traffic controller at Miami International Airport. He was an avid golfer and reader.
He was preceded in death by his six brothers and sisters and his wife of 56 years, Irene Murray Nadeau, who died March 21, 1997, in Florida.
Mr. Nadeau had been a Gardnerville resident for 15 months, living with his nephew, the Rev. William Nadeau, parish administrator of St. Gall Catholic Church.
Among his survivors are several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nadeau will be interred in Florida next to his wife.
Memorials in Mr. Nadeau's name may be made to the Good Shepherd Memorial Park at St. Gall, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410.
