A Carson City man is wanted by drug task-force investigators after they allegedly found marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in a safe along with personal records identifying him, said Tri-Net Lt. Scott Jackson.

Investigators served a search warrant Friday night on a Rhodes Street business next door to Zachariah Dix's home. There they allegedly found a safe that contained 170 grams of high-grade marijuana, 51 grams of psilocybin mushrooms - a hallucinogen - and paperwork in Dix's name. Without the business owner's knowledge, Dix, 38, apparently had a key to the building, Jackson said.

Jackson said he believes Dix would hide drugs in a hole in the wall leading into the business when his probation officer would come around, and then store the drugs in the safe. In addition to the marijuana and mushrooms, "assorted pills and tablets" were also recovered, he said.

"It was basically just a dope safe," Jackson said.

The drugs have an estimated street value of $2,500.

Secret Witness has offered a reward of $500 for information leading to Dix's whereabouts. Tips can be called to Secret Witness at 322-4900.
