A fund-raiser July 18 will help raise money for a Carson City deputy's daughter who is undergoing open-heart surgery this month.
Signups for a poker run and barbecue to benefit Hailey Morton begin in the Carson City Harley-Davidson parking lot at 9 a.m. and go until 11 a.m.
The cost is $15 per driver and $25 for couples. It includes the ride fee, poker hand and lunch. An extra hand can be purchased for $5.
The run will take riders to the Carson City Bully's, Michael's Cycle in Reno on South Virginia Street, Bully's on the Mount Rose Highway, The Biltmore in Incline Village and the Carson City Sheriff's Office. It ends at Howwlin Good Barbeque at 1701 N. Carson St. at about 3 p.m. Riders will collect a card at each location. The winner will receive a prize to be announced.
An all-day car wash will also be taking place in the Kragens parking lot for donations.
