The Carson Sharks 10 and under softball team won the National Softball Association Nevada State B Championship this past weekend in Susanville, Calif.
Carson went 4-0 in the event, outscoring its opponents 27-15. The Sharks beat the Reno Fastpitch All-Stars 7-5, the Las Vegas Kaos 4-2 and the Fallon Elite 33-1. In the championship game, Carson defeated the Reno Predators 15-7 in a game that was called after six innings due to the eight-run rule.
Members of the team are Kristalei Wolfe, Lauren Knorzer, Lisa Yamamoto, Elaina Shine, Taylor-Rae Canfield, Jocelyn Young, Elizabeth Cagle, Megan Barrette, Christina Gallegos, Lindsey Ashbaugh, Micahela Hoff, Tiffany Patrick and Emily Collins.
