A service for Jackalyn Ross Laxalt, 77, former first lady of Nevada, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Little Flower Catholic Church in Reno.
Mrs. Laxalt died July 17, 2004. She was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Yerington to the Honorable John R. and Margaret Burns Ross.
She was the wife of former Gov. Paul Laxalt.
Mrs. Laxalt worked as a substance-abuse counselor.
Among her survivors are her husband, her children Gail Laxalt and husband Roger Johnson of Denver, Sheila Laxalt and Dennis Lokan of Milwaukie, Ore., John Paul Laxalt of Carson City, Michelle Laxalt of Alexandria, Va., Dr. Kevin Marie Laxalt of Greeley, Colo., and Kathleen "Neena" Laxalt of Reno; grandchildren Jamie Marie Lokan, Mackenzie Lokan Baldwin, Sean Michael Bernard, Jackalyn Marlette Laxalt, Adam Paul Laxalt, Kevan Danielle Laxalt, Christopher Johnson, Kelly Rose Olson, David Ross Laxalt, Kevin Ross Laxalt, Victoria MacDonald Laxalt and Therese MacDonald Laxalt; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Grace Baldwin; brother, John Tom Ross; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
