A memorial service for Beverly Lynne Cable, 53, a Carson City resident for the past 21 years, will be at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the First United Methodist Church.
A gathering for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 8 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
Mrs. Cable died July 26, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital of multiple myeloma. She was born May 14, 1951, in Everett, Wash., to Donald Jamison and Peggy Wienz.
She graduated from WNCC with a registered nursing license.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Westwood, Calif.
She married Glen Cable Dec. 1, 1987, in Carson City.
Mrs. Cable was a registered nurse at Carson-Tahoe Hospital for the past 14 years. She worked in the women's and children's center, pediatrics and obstetrics. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, camping, fishing, gold panning and especially children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Harms and brother, Donald Jamison.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law John and Kelly Strickland of Fresno, Calif.; son, Bill Huss of Sparks; daughter, Tami McVey of Clovis, Calif.; sister, Diana Jamison of San Jose, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Teri Jamison and Donnie Castro of Fernley; brother, Brian Jamison of Carson City; granddaughters Alyssa and Hannah McVey of Clovis, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.
