A $2,500 reward has been offered by Secret Witness for the arrest and conviction of a man wanted by police in the May 26 shooting death of Juan Carlos Alegria.

Maximiliano "Dagger" Cisneros, 22, is charged with murder in the death of Alegria, 23, and attempted murder in the wounding of Fidel Fuentes, 22.

Cisneros allegedly shot the men following a domestic dispute involving Fuentes and his estranged girlfriend, Katie Armstrong, according to police.

Alegria had accompanied Fuentes about midnight to Armstrong's West Eighth Street Apartment when Fuentes spotted Cisneros inside. According to court documents, after Fuentes kicked in the door Cisneros allegedly emerged and opened fire, hitting Alegria three times in the torso and Fuentes once in the leg.

Police believe Cisneros has fled to Southern California. His brother, Saul Cisneros, talked with Carson City police Friday and denied any knowledge of his brother's involvement's or whereabouts, Sgt. Bob White said.

White said Saul Cisneros was stopped by police in Los Angeles on Monday carrying with him a copy of the Nevada Appeal that had both Cisneros brothers' photos in it. He was released shortly afterward.

Maximiliano Cisneros is believed to be in the company of Danny Flores, Steve "Speedy" Contreras and Saul Cisneros.

He is described as 6 feet 4 inches tall with brown eyes, black hair and a fair complexion.
