Margaret Kulow

Margaret Kulow, 89, a Prineville, Ore., resident for the past six years and former Carson City resident, died June 5, 2004, in Prineville. She was born Jan. 28, 1915, in Chicago to Edward and Judith Juricek Votava. She grew up and attended schools in Chicago.

She married Leo Kiewicz in Chicago in 1934, and they lived in Benseville, Ill. In 1952, she moved to California and later married Fred Kulow in Kauai, Hawaii.

He preceded her in death in 1991.

Mrs. Kulow enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and was a sports fan.

In addition to her husband Fred, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Among her survivors are her daughters Joyce Wood of LaPine, Ore., and Karen Stewart of Doniphan, Mo.; son, Edward Kiewicz of Carson City; brother, Richard Votava of Marseilles, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
