A memorial service for Marion Emily Delahay, 87, a Minden and Gardnerville resident, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Delahay died June 3, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born June 19, 1916, in Michigan to Harvey Henry and Gertrude Boehmer Horn.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in San Isidro, Costa Rica; Los Alamos, N.M.; Kenai and Fairbanks, Alaska; and Steamboat Springs, Colo.
Mrs. Delahay was a member of Kiwanis and a Unitarian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben T., in 2002; daughter Jean Lawrence in 1998; and son Alan in 1959.
Among her survivors are her sons Bob of Gunnison, Colo., Bill of Mesa, Ariz., Ben of Las Vegas and Harvey of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Ann Delahay of Minden; twin sister, Margaret Shinaver of Lavonia, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson Valley United Methodist Church Memorial Garden Fund.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
