Votes tallied for Taste of Downtown

The 11th annual Taste of Downtown, held Saturday night over 15 blocks of downtown Carson City, was the major annual fund-raiser for Advocates to End Domestic Violence.

All proceeds, expected to be around $28,000, will benefit the group's 52-bed emergency shelter.

During the event, which sold out before it started, 1,500 tasters went from booth to booth, tasting the best that 26 restaurants had.

When it was all over, tasters cast their votes for best atmosphere, taste, overall, discovery, shop and band. Here's what they said.
