Anthony 'Tony' Supiran

A memorial for Anthony "Tony" Supiran, 33, a Carson City resident since October, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Genoa Community Church in Genoa.

Mr. Supiran died June 11, 2004, at home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1971, in Arcadia, Calif., to Ernest Supiran and Linda Elliott Supiran.

He married Candace Rich Supiran. Prior to living in Carson City, he lived in Las Vegas.

Mr. Supiran was a correctional officer for the state of Nevada for the past three years. He enjoyed snow skiing and training in karate and martial arts.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2000.

Among his survivors are his wife, Candace; mother, Linda Supiran of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and brothers Ricky Supiran and Jerry Supiran, both of San Luis Obispo.

Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden is in charge of arrangements.
