Donald R. Canfield, 71, a Carson City resident since 1996, died June 24, 2004, at his home.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Mr. Canfield was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Plainview, Texas to Clifton Taylor Canfield and Birchie Bea Cox.
He married Ann L. Guerette in 1956 in San Gabriel, Calif.
Prior to living in Carson City he resided in Los Angeles County, Calif. He enjoyed bowling, cooking and reading. Mr. Canfield was a deputy sheriff for Los Angeles County and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife; son Jay Canfield and daughter Michelle Denton, all of San Diego County, Calif.; brother Charles of Mesa, Ariz.; sisters Sharon Canfield of San Antonio, Texas, and Diana McIntosh of Caney, Kan.; one grandson and two granddaughters.
Cremation is under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
