Coyotes defeat White Sox

The Carson Coyotes Senior Babe Ruth Baseball team ended league play with a 7-6 win over the Sparks White Sox.


Carson scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 7-6 lead. Brad Breeden pitched a complete game for the win, striking out 11 over seven innings.


Adam Anderson and Jarrod Bone each doubled twice, Josh Camper and Chris Ames each doubled and Jason Knowles and Wes Osmer each added a hit for the Coyotes.


The Coyotes will begin play in the double elimination state tournament on July 10 against the Sparks Titans. The winner of the state tournament will advance to the regional event to be held in Watsonville, Calif., at the end of July.


Carson will also play the Bushrangers, an Australian team, at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 4 at Governor's Field.
