Robert Earle Hooker Sr., 65, a Washoe Valley resident for the past five years, died March 20, 2004, of cancer. He was born July 16, 1938, in El Paso, Texas.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, he moved to San Jose, Calif., in 1959, then to Washoe Valley in 1998.
Mr. Hooker was an avid skeet shooter and served on the board of directors of the Capital City Gun Club.
Among his survivors are his wife, Wilma, of Washoe Valley; sons Robert and Troy and grandchildren Sarah and Jason Hooker, all of Reno; mother, Lorraine Gilchrist of Angeles Oaks, Calif.; father Earle Hooker of El Paso; and brother, Darrell of Salt Lake City.
No service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washoe Cancer Foundation at Washoe Medical Center, Reno.
