A memorial service for Cynthia Lou Johnson, 59, a Beaver Dam, Ariz., resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beaver Dam Retirement Community Club House in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Johnson died March 29, 2004, in Nephi, Utah. She was born March 18, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, to Earl Fielding and Opal Pauline Pevler Crews.
She graduated from Kettering High School in Dayton and studied for another year at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
She married Charles H. Johnson June 29, 1965, in Dayton. Charles served in the military and they lived in Hawaii; Newport, R.I.; Long Beach, Calif.; and San Diego, Calif. Following his discharge, they moved to Carson City where they lived for 11 years, moved to El Paso, Texas, where they lived for six years. They retired to Beaver Dam in 1998.
Mrs. Johnson loved to knit, crochet and craft. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mesquite.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Johnson March 2002.
Among her survivors are her husband of Beaver Dam; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lori of Randolph, Mass.; daughter Meredith Johnson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren Jake Johnson and Lohren Montgomery; sisters Jane Boyer of Springboro, Ohio, and Judy Shanklin of Irvine, Calif.; and stepfather, John Zappe of Springboro.
