A funeral for Charlotte Elvenia Keener, 74, a Carson City resident for the past 40 years and former Fallon resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon.
Mrs. Keener died May 2, 2004, at Evergreen Care Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Fallon to Warren and Pearl Smith Morden.
She married Ken Keener in 1950 in Reno.
Mrs. Keener was a school bus driver, sold Avon, and delivered mail on a rural route. She was a licensed practical nurse at Carson-Tahoe Hospital and Carson Convalescent Center for many years.
She was a volunteer for the Association of Retired Citizens. She enjoyed her family and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Nevada and Shirley; husband, Ken; and daughter, Kathy.
Among her survivors are her sons John of Boise, Idaho, and Bob of Fallon; niece, Linda Pollack of Carson City; grandchildren Jim, Courtney, Zachary and Nathaniel Keener, all of Fallon; and great-nieces and nephews Raymond, Amelia, Teresa and Steven Saunders, all of Carson City.
Burial will be at the Fallon Cemetery. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
