Murata advances in trials

Minden's Stephanie Murata advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Olympic trials in women's wrestling on Friday in Indianapolis.

Murata, the No. 5 seed, representing Sunkist Kids, beat Marcie Van Dusen, the No. 4 seed, also representing Sunkist Kids, 3-2 in Friday's quarterfinals. Murata will face No. 1 seed Tela O'Donnell in today's semifinals. The trials continue through Sunday.
