Charles "Charlie" Bush Jr., 79, a Topaz Ranch Estates resident for the past 27 years, died Nov. 14, 2004, at the Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville. He was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Charles P. Sr. and LaFaun Thomas Bush.
Before moving to Topaz Ranch Estates, he lived in Santa Ana, Calif.
Mr. Bush was the first fire chief in Topaz Ranch Estates and helped build the firehouse. He enjoyed fishing, working on electronics and spending time with his family.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps retiring in 1968.
He was preceded in death by his daughters LaFaun and Joann.
Among his survivors are his wife, Ruth "Petey" of Wellington; son, Charles III of Fortuna, Calif.; daughter, Yvonne Bush of Quincy, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Topaz Ranch Estates Fire Department.
