Caltrans is surveying Californians to find out the most important issues to them regarding the condition of state highways.
"The purpose of this survey is to give us an idea what Californians think of the job we are doing in the area of maintenance and to help us identify areas for improvement," said Caltrans Director Will Kempton.
Beginning today, anyone can offer input by logging onto http://www.dot.ca.gov/cgi-bin/roads.cgi. Locate the red text, "Please take our highway maintenance survey," and click on "In English" or "In Spanish."
The poll contains 35 questions that take about 15 minutes to complete.
The survey period runs through Jan. 5.
Participants will be asked to enter their ZIP codes, which will allow Caltrans to determine maintenance preferences in various parts of California.
