Thomas William Lewis, 63, a Reno resident for the past 55 years, died Nov. 19, 2004, at Washoe Medical Center.

He attended and played football for Manogue High School, graduating in the class of 1959.

Mr. Lewis retired from the state of Nevada in 2000.

He was a member of Toastmasters. After retiring, he built a house in Portola, Calif., and served as president and vice president of the River Valley Home Owners Association.

He served one tour of duty in the Nevada Air National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Melillo and aunts Nora and Mary "Mae" Moulton.

Among his survivors are his wife, Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Amy of Kea'au, Hawaii; daughter, Rachael Lewis of Reno; grandchildren Logan Beers and Marikate and Brenna Lewis; sister Nancy Johnson of Carson City; and nieces and nephews.

A service was held at Our Lady of Wisdom Church in Reno.
