Dayton boys soccer has unbeaten week

With a short-handed squad, the Dayton High boys soccer team was still able to sweep three games this past week.


Dayton had only 13 players, but was able to beat Fernley 2-0 and Yerington 3-2 earlier in the week and defeated Whittell 5-0 on Saturday. Eddie Lanusa had a big day against Whittell, scoring four goals while Randy Contreras scored the other goal.


Against Fernley, Contreras and Keith Miller scored the goals. Aginast Yerington, Jacial Armas scored twice and Lanusa scored the other goal. Dayton (5-2-2, 3-1-2) also continued to receive outstanding play from goalie Luis Gomez.
