A memorial service for Harold F. Lloyd, 57, of Ridgecrest, Calif., will be at 11:30 Saturday at St. Michael's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John-Paul Wadlin officiating.
Mr. Lloyd died Oct. 7, 2004 at Ridgecrest Heath Care Center. He was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Sacramento.
He graduated from Carson High School in 1965, then earned an electical engineering degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1972.
He served in the U.S. Navy from January 1968 to September 1969 during Vietnam aboard USS Rearsarge. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves from March 1977 to July 1989. He retired after 30 years of federal service.
He moved to Ridgecrest in 1973. He worked at the Naval Weapons Center as an electrical engineer and for the HARM program as a principal team member on the software development team. After retirement, he was a contractor on base.
Mr. Lloyd enjoyed his family, woodworking, refinishing antiques and collecting post-war vintage toy trains.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lloyd Sr.
Among his survivors are his wife, Marsha, daughter, Sandra, and son, Alan, all of Ridgecrest; mother and stepfather Dorothea and Ken Jones of Carson City; brother and sister-in-law William and Cheri of Reno; brother Steve of Bellflower, Calif.; sister, Carolyn Robinson of Sparks; seven nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.
