A celebration of life for Alice Hargrave, 70, a Carson City resident for the past 28 years, will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Carson City Elks Lodge, Nevada and Robinson streets. Dress is casual.

Mrs. Hargrave died Oct. 17, 2004, at home. She was born Aug. 28, 1934, in Seedorf, Kt. URI, Switzerland, to Hans and Martha Arnold. Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Fallon.

Mrs. Hargrave worked in restaurants in Lovelock, Fallon, Carson City and the Matson Steamship and Navigation Co.

She was an avid bowler and belonged to leagues in Fallon and Carson City. She enjoyed gardening, playing slot machines and RV camping.

Among her survivors are her husband of 37 years, Roy of Carson City; mother-in-law, Alice Hargrave of Carson City; stepson and wife, Phillip and Lisa Hargrave of Hood River, Ore.; stepdaughter and husband, Nanci and Scott Campbell of Carson City; brothers and sisters-in-law Werner and Agnes Arnold of Seedorf and Max and Medeleine Arnold of Altdorf, Switzerland; brother-in-law David Hargrave of La Canada, Calif.; sisters and brothers-in-law Martha and Werner Furrer of Marysville, Wash., and Elsa and Karl Hugener of Unteraegeri, Zug., Switzerland; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in America and Switzerland.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
