According to a recent press release by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), it is offering an atlas of wildlife water development maps that provide locations for nearly 1,500 of the developments (guzzlers) that have been installed throughout the state.

Included in the books are 68 quadrangle (1:100,000) maps that pinpoint the locations of both large and small game water developments.

Commonly called guzzlers, the water developments have been installed in order to provide year round sources of water for a variety of wildlife.

Besides pinpointing guzzler sites on the maps, the atlases provide UTM coordinates so the guzzlers can be located with a Global Positioning System.

The water development atlases are $30 and are available at the NDOW regional offices. The offices are open weekdays, except state holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
