A celebration of life for Hazel M. Fullerton, 62, a Marinette, Wis., resident for the past 15 years, will be at 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo, Wis., with Henry Yoap officiating.
Mrs. Fullerton died Sept. 1, 2004, of ovarian cancer. She was born June 2, 1942, in Albany, N.Y., to James and Vera Edwards Hopkins. When she was 6, her family moved to California where she lived for 37 years.
She married Kent Fullerton Nov. 28, 1959.
In 1971, Mrs. Fullerton participated in an inaugural training program at Wing Lane Elementary School to be certified as a teacher's aide. She worked as an aide for 12 years before moving to Carson City in 1984 where she was an educational aide working with developmentally handicapped children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother and three nephews.
Among her survivors are her husband of 44 years; daughters and sons-in-law Keena and Todd Carstensen of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Kelly and Lloyd Tarry of Pacifica, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Denise of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; grandchildren Brianna, Jared, Kristen, Kayla, Brian, Diandra, Courtney, Kevin and Mark; Brothers John, Henry, and Herb; sisters Ruth and Patti and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, Marinette/Menominee Animal Shelter or Women Fighting Cancer Support Group.
