A celebration of life for Patricia Birdwood Jackson, 78, a Carson City resident for the past 27 years, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Jackson died Sept. 11, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Los Angeles to Wallace and Bertha Birdwood.
She graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles in 1948.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Riverside, Calif.
She married Roland Jackson. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Republican Women's Club, Carson City Republican Central Committee, Navy League/ROA, California Historical Society, Native Daughters of the Golden West and Riverside Opera Guild.
Among her survivors are her sons Col. Richard B. of Naples, Italy, and Peter B. of Las Vegas; daughters Barbara J. Palladino of Yardley, Pa., and Susan McCurdy of Carson City; stepdaughter Laurie McGarvey of Lancaster, Pa.; brother, Wallace Birdwood of Hemet, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
